An extremely rare crossover piece, this has both Killarney ware and Tunbridge Ware elements. Henry Hollamby sold Tunbridge Ware panels to the Killarney ware makers, so this Muckross Abbey (actually a priory) is made from veneers from the arbutus tree and made in Killarney Ireland. With working key. Probably a glove box.

"Hollamby not only supplied complete items of Tunbridge Ware for sale in Killarney but was also prepared to offer veneers for use by Killarney makers. Boxes of obvious Killarney manufacture and decoration have been noted incorporating the Tunbridge block of Muckross Abbey (colour pl.28a)
